The Grid authentication system and methodology in action!
The need for enhanced authentication in today’s computing environment is undeniable. Static passwords should simply be eliminated, or at least the input and transmission of reusable information.
The ease of Grid to be snapped into any application is showcased in upgrading Microsoft’s Outlook Web Access authentication log in with Grid’s zero footprint, one time password log-in system.
Microsoft’s Outlook Web Access (OWA) is used by millions of users to gain remote access into corporate email and privileged information. The convenience OWA affords its users is unquestionable, but so are the risks of many of the user’s access points: non-corporate controlled and maintained clients, multi-user home computers, airport lounges, trade show kiosks, hotel lobbies, internet cafes.
Grid allows simple, untethered access and enhanced authentication while better protecting access into corporate data, and at a fraction of the cost of VPNs and hard token and their equivalents. Grid leverages and utilises the existing database store and password, allowing a static password to be input as a one time password.
