Host Discovery

Networks are collections of IP addresses that IT organisations are responsible for securing. Yet unknown IP addresses exist in every large network, often going undiscovered until they cause an outage, breach or audit issue. Brookcourts Solutions detect all known and previously unknown network addresses. Out technologies

  • Conduct a census of all IP addresses using multi-protocol discovery, identifying the true perimeter of the network
  • Flag previously unknown addresses - those not recognised by official network inventories - for remediation
  • Enable organisations to harden defences around their network perimeter and secure zones to enforce policies

Note:            Although not specifically required by PMI, Host Discovery is a key requirement to integrate with other modules.
