Brookcourt, a subsidiary of Shearwater Group plc, proudly announces that it is among the first organisations in the UK to achieve certification to the newly published ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standard for artificial intelligence management systems. The company were presented with their award by Liz Moran, Leader of Business Assurance at SGS who provided the comprehensive audit of Brookcourt’s AI development practices, governance processes and risk management systems. The award was received by Dale Rushman, AI Manager at Brookcourt, Kathy Zhai, AI Consultant and Lindsey Domingo, Senior Director both from Xcina Consulting.
This milestone underscores Brookcourt’s commitment to responsible and transparent AI development and governance. The certification programme was led by Xcina Consulting, Shearwater’s governance, risk and compliance advisory arm. The ISO/IEC 42001 certification provides a globally recognised framework for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving AI management systems. It is the first international standard specifically focused on AI.
This achievement demonstrates Shearwater Group’s ongoing commitment to pioneering cybersecurity standards and responsible AI use, reinforcing its position at the forefront of digital risk protection.
